Rosie from the hair salon had set aside a box for me, of stuff her father left behind. She hadn’t known what to do with it, but couldn’t get rid of it. Among many treasures, the box contained over 100 copies of a photograph depicting a 1948 aerial view of Wendover Air Base, which I used as the background image and foundational structure for the quilt pieces.
